Vascular Access

The circulatory system is divided into two parts.
1. The central system that consists of the heart and the large blood vessels (venae cavae, aorta and pulmonary artery).
2. The peripheral system that consists of the blood vessels, veins and arteries that extend from the heart down to the peripheral vessels.
